Annapolis Boat Show 2009
10/12/2009, Annapolis, MD

As a favor to our boat builder, our boat was in the Annapolis Boat Show. We had hoped they would have time to polish her up nice, but she appeared as is. Everyone still thought she looked great. Guess we are the only ones who know where to look for the real dirt.

So we had a front row seat to the show teardown on Monday when all of the boats leave the docks and head out at 5pm. We managed to get out of there without incident (always a plus) and anchored in Whitehall Creek just outside of Annapolis. Had a quick 2-day trip sailing back home. Anchored in Solomons, MD and then headed home to avoid the ugly cold rainy weather the nor'easter is bringing up the coast.

There were about a dozen boats within sight of us heading south. Wish we could have kept going with them, but we did enjoy sitting in our living room under blankets watching the misty rain outside. Didn't have enough food or wine with us on the boat if we hadn't made it home and had to hole up in a remote anchorage for a few days like we know a few of the other boats are doing.

Looks nice!
Can it do some of the ICW, like Charm?
Looking forward to seeing you at New Years- wherever it is.

We had plenty of time to eat and drink in Skydusky's cockpit and then watch the fireworks from Karibbee Kat's upper bridgedeck.

Don't get too close

Here we are rafted up again with Charm and Karibbee Kat on the river. We are an imposing raft, anchored on Carter Creek among all of other boats that are here to watch the fireworks. It was a big target for someone on a Sunfish who couldn't turn in time to miss hitting the side of our boat.
