Progress along the waterway in the congested Norfolk area is dictated by bridge closures for rush hour so we stopped for the night at a free dock at the Great Bridge Historical Park just to the south of the Great Bridge Bridge. Large barges ply the waterway here at all hours of the night. Glad we didn't have to share the water with them during the day.
