We stayed a little longer in Puerto Vallarta that we wished. The last post had us in Punta Mita waiting to round Cabo Corrientes. Well that did not work out so good. We left at about 0600 in the morning and only made about 6 miles when the sun came up and we could see a big line of thunder boomers off to the West. That nixed it for us so we turned down and went to La Cruz. We have a lot of mixed feelings about La Cruz, its a pretty good anchorage but the town is just so so. Anyway, we left Thursday at midnight, rounded Cabo Corrientes at 0500 and continued all the way to Chamela. We had 4-6 foot swells and wind in the low 20's. A little lumpy, but good sailing. We got the hook down just before sundown and had a quick dinner. Boy, we sure did sleep good last night. We will stay here a few days and then on to Tenacatita and then Barra for Christmas.
