From Roatan

It seems that we have a cold front plaguing us and I'm wondering if the sun is ever going to shine again. It's been raining BUCKETS and BUCKETS here. Sure, we like the extra fresh water but now that the tanks are full, the laundry is done, the dive gear is washed, shower is clean, water jugs and sun-shower's are full and there's really nothing left to top up or get clean.... we're ready for some dry, sunny weather. We'd been snorkeling each day but not diving since the threat of heavy winded squalls made us uncomfortable being underwater for an hour not knowing if the boat was OK, but now the water is all murked up from the rain so we couldn't even do that today. Yesterday we got to watch this octopus work at getting a conch out of its shell to eat. Since the water was only about 2 feet deep, we studied him for a long time. They are amazing and yet odd creatures.

Jon made the best loaf of bread he's ever made yesterday and it warranted dipping in olive oil- that's my idea of great bread! We're headed over to Tashmoo this afternoon for dominoes, appetizers and who knows what else. Can't think of a better thing to do on a rainy day. Good thing there's TWO more cold fronts headed down this way! Jon says that the only good part about it all is that it isn't our 1 week winter vacation. Well now that puts it all in perspective!
