Oh Shit They Are Serious!

My crazy humans finally started what they call 'An Adventure Of A Lifetime'. I'm not sure Lilly and I see it that way! And it comes just as Lilly and I were getting used to marina life and living on a boat.
For the last few days there has been a flurry of activity on our boat -- people coming and people going. Mom has been busy re-organizing the boat and putting things away. Dad has been busy doing things to the boat's engine. I don't really understand what he did, but it was fun going into the engine compartment to help him -- I don't think he appreciated my efforts! Finally, mom and dad came back to the boat with 50 pounds of my food and eight cases of Lilly's food -- I should have been suspicious.
I have learned that it is not going to be a good day when dad starts the engine first thing and mom unites those big strings from the dock. But in the pas,t we were only gone for short periods and always came back to the marina. I have heard my humans tell several people at the marina they would see them next April, I have a very bad feeling about this!
Yesterday started like that, but it was worse! Mom tried to trick Lilly into drinking some milk with some really nasty medicine in it. Mom said it was so she wouldn't get seasick. But Lilly is smart, she wasn't having any of it. What mom did next shocked both of us both so much it nearly knocked our socks off (oh, wait, we don't have socks). She grabbed Lilly from behind, manhandled her really, and squirted that foul tasting medicine right into her mouth. Then to make matters worse, mom kept Lilly, virtually hog tied in her arms until Lilly swallowed!!! The medicine turned Lilly into a Zombie Cat. I think mom may have given Lilly too much medicine. But on the upside, Lilly didn't drool all over the place or throw up and she slept a lot.
Today, mom tortured Lilly again by squirting more of that disgusting medicine in her mouth. The good news is Lilly is not looking so much like a Zombie Cat today, so I guess mom didn't give her as medicine today. I am really glad I do not get seasick!
I think my humans are really serious about this 'adventure' thing. Last night I heard them talking about some place called St. Lucia where they will meet some friends. I don't know where this is, but it must be pretty far away because they talked about a lot of these things called 'islands' that we will run into along the way and that it would take us a day each to run into these 'islands'. I don't think running into things in a boat is a good idea -- we already did that once and Smart Move had to be taken out of the water for a week!
This boat stuff is really tiring, I need a nap!
