Monday May 10th starts out with breakfast and the beginning of off loading the boat. Mom arrives about 4:00 pm and we take a load to the house. The next three days are spent taking items off the boat and making multiple trips to the house.
Thursday Mom, Dad, Russ and I headed jumped in the boat and motored to Singlar in Guaymas. Singlar had people on the dock to take our lines. Got the boat tied up and low and behold Psyche is our dock mates. It is good to see Steve and Kathy again. Singlar likes you come to the dock the day before haul out. So it looks like we will haul tomorrow.
Friday May 14. One day before hurricane season. We arrive at Singlar at about 9:30 am and Psyche is getting ready to pull out to motor over to be hauled. Our haul out time is 2:00 pm. The high tide is at 1:45 pm. Yeah, we get hauled and blocked up. That is all the excitement for the day. The next few days are spent prepping the boat for dry storage and hurricane season, which includes removing all sails, wrapping tin foil around all winches, blocks, any moving parts and loose equipment. Tarping the front deck deck and dinghy then securing tarps with chain and dinghy with cargo tie downs. The boat is now put to bed. Charlie & Tom from Sea of Cortez Yachts come by to look at the boat and take photos for the listing. Smoke-N-Blues is now officially up for sale. We plan on cruising and maintaining her until she is sold.
Now the real works begins. Russ is starting to sort through all the stuff that was taken off the boat and making piles. Pile one stays in the house, pile two goes to the motor home and pile three goes on the road trip to Guadalajara. This took a couple of days.
