Mike
We are back in Boston, we got in wed june 8. Its been 9 months and about 4500 miles since we left and it feels like we were just here. Maybee its because we missed the winter this year. It took us about seven weeks coming back from the Bahamas. We stayed in the ICW from Savannah to Norfolk Va. We went out of the Chesepeake overnight to Cape Henlopen DE. got one night sleep there then up to Sandy Hook NJ the next day and overnight. We stayed in Atlantic Highlands NJ for a few nights and ran into a few familiar boats. One boat we last saw crossing back from the Bahamas was getting towed into the anchorage we were in. We stopped by there boat on our way to shore to find out what happened. There engine blew all its coolant out on there way up the coast. I went aboard and helped him get it fixed, it ended up just beeing a loose belt. He was pretty happy as he thought it was going to be worse and was about to call a mechanic. So they took us to a nice dinner for helping out. From there we went overnight again outside Long Island to Newport RI. We came into Newport in a thick fog but the radar worked great and got us right in with no trouble. We stayed there for a few nights and visited with some friends and family. Then it was a quick daysail to Marthas Vineyard for a few more nights and then through cape cod canal and overnight up cape cod bay and we were back at our mooring in Hingham by 8 am. It was such a great experience and I would recomend it to anyone.
