Its final. We are commited...and were going through the canal tomorrow!!! We have all the necessary line handlers. We recruited a backpacking couple, Oliver and Lisa, that has spent the last year in costa rica. Dad also found a local, Tito, who should be very helpful with the spanish nautical commands. A pilot with five years canal experience is also a requirement, so sora is giong to be packed. Tuesday evening we go through the first set of locks, spend the night moored in Gatun lake, then go through the final set of locks on wednesday morning. You can view our crossing live via internet camera feed. I am not sure of the details, but if your interested, Check with my mom. Dad has schooled her on particulars, and we will be calling her when we are center stage. We should wind up at Flamenco Yacht club wed evening or thursday. WIFI and other various amentities...I am so excited. The trio is doing well. Wayne has been reading up a storm and is beginning to get feeling back in his index finger after a nerve stabbing that occured while opening a coconut. Dad has settled down a bit and is excited about going through the canal...not just anxious. Last night someone tried to sell us an alligator that had just been ran over...he wasnt that big-probably 2 and half feet. Barely enough for one shoe and a shish kabob. Today Wayne and I got a taxi ride to the local grocer from a gentleman named Dracula. I am missing all my friends back home and looking forward to meeting new people on the otherside. I am in desperate need of some peer association. Cant wait to upload more pictures into our gallery and spend some time re-vamping the web page. Keep checking us out and post comments dammit! I live for your feedback.
