Safe back in Valencia, already looking forward to the next trip.

First time with the gennaker, trying different courses to see how the boat reacts. The Hanse sailboats are made for single handed sailing from the start so it's easy for one person to adjust all the lines. Just perfect!

But after a while we got a nice little breeze from just the perfect direction to try the gennaker.

The weather improved on the way back and it was sunny but too little wind to sail in the start. Then it's great to have an autopilot!

Although it looks like the sea is quiet, it was actually quite a swell and the boat was rolling from side to side all day and night.

Great view from the top, especially with the new boat in the background!

We went ashore for a walk. You are not allowed to go ashore alone here as the whole island is a nature reserve. But you can call a guide which will meet you and take you up to a small museum.
Nice to see one other sailboat here as well, after all it was March.

After only having sailed around in the Valencia area it was great that my dad came for a visit in March so we could give her the first real test. We chose the Columbretes Island which is a bit closer than Ibiza and sounded like a nice place to start.
It wasn't the best weather and it wasn't the best wind, but who cares when you have a brand new boat and are out on your first adventure :)
