After one night at Lee Stalking we moved about an hour back south to anchor behind Rat Cay. As we arrived, our friends on Tapas hailed us and told us to turn left rather than right once we passed through the cut. There we anchored behind Boise Cay across a long shallow bay from Barraterre.

Now Boise Cay is a very small, narrow cay with a couple of tiny private beaches. A tour company drops off a family of tourists with beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers each morning on one of the beaches. Since there isn't a tree or any shelter or shade, I was concerned they would be burned to a bright lobster red.

An interesting feature of the Cay is the blow holes. The rock of the cays is very porous and then wave action is wearing it away. In some places there is are openings stretching from the ocean side of the cay. When waves hit, water is forced through hole and fountains up like a whale blowing.

There was a small coral garden just off the bow of our boat. Some of us went snorkeling. I looked through the 'looky bucket' and had a lovely clear view of the garden. Many fish and with his head just poking out of a hole - there was an eel.

Our hostess found a conch and her husband dived down to retrieve it. Conch salad for us!!! It is handy to be hosted by someone who likes to cook and is really good at it.
