first full weekend at the club

Jacqui/Sunny/Getting warmer
We had a lovely weekend at the club, including our first sleep afloat in our boat. Surprise, we were able to raise the mast. We weren't expecting this. We had expected chaos as there is very limited time to raise masts in time for sailpast, but many people decided to avoid the chaos.

Eriks rebedded a chain plate on Saturday afternoon. And we installed the Dodger and the Bimini top. We started early Sunday morning on the mast. I quick marched to West Marine for Sailkote after taking the 8AM city ferry. Then I quick marched double time and made it back to our tender in 12 minutes - from West Marine!! Can you tell I am proud. Considering that I haven't been feeling well for a few days, I am doubly proud.

I then joined Eriks at the mast crane. I washed the mast and helped ready the mast for raising. I also washed Rick V.'s mast.

I then made myself scarce and the 'boys' did what they do. When I returned, the mast was up. Eriks spent a couple more hours helping a few others raise their masts and then we worked together to get the boom on. No sails yet, but the two heavy projects are done for the spring. We may have Wild Jasmine in Sail Past yet.

We enjoyed the new Signature dish, the Ribs, the hamburgers and the chicken wings at the club dining room. Food is good this year.
