Aptly named Sailrocket, blasts off!

While yet to be ratified, Sailrocket posted an average speed over 500 meters of 59 knots. I will not be surprised if they increase their record into the 60 knot range during this record attempt.

Sailrocket meets Hydroptere!!

The core crew of Sailrocket met with the crew of Hydroptere and took a sail on Hydroptere. Paul wrote an insightful piece providing us with a greater understanding of the mighty French hydrofoil craft.

He also touches a bit on the difference in stability between Sailrocket and Hydroptere and perhaps that will give you another view on my assertions that stability is the key. I am very eager to see the new incarnation of Sailrocket because it will show us what they learned and what they consider to be the most important elements.
