Flew the spinakar as winds weakened. Eventually had to motor in through glouster harbor, but had a nice day on the water nontheless. We saw the cruise ship Amsterdam anchored off Gloucester light and ferrying people back and forth for tours of Glouster.
Took in a play "Calvin Berger". Everyone seemed to enjoy it. We had dinner at "The Studio" as we watched the lightning pass to our North.

Left Edgartown and stopped at Quissett again for a nice lunch. Then off to Onset. The wind really picked up in the afternoon and we had a great sail north. We even had to reef it started blowing so hard.

Wind and current were against us the whole trip. Tried to sail for a while, but ended up going backwards due to the current. Ended up motoring most of the way. (Had our first trip through woods hole. Upstream no less.)
Had a great time in town. Met up with Lee and his new family. Had dinner out and poked around some stores. The next day we went down to southern edge of the island in the dinghy and watched the waves and "kite surfer" guys fly around the bay.

Windy, windy, Birthday
Had a great day sailing and spending time with the girls. The wind kept us on our toes (gusting to close to 30Kts) but it also kept us moving.
We had a nice ride out, and a bit of a motor back into little misery where the girls and I explored the island and "micro misery Is". Mom stayed on the boat and enjoyed the quiet.
Stopped for Mexican food on the way home to finish the birthday festivities. Another year older and wiser ;-)

Took Mom and Dad out for a sail. Not much wind today. Spent most of the day off Great Misery enjoying the warmth and sun. Tried the spinnaker on the way home, but there just wasn't enough wind. You can only putt at 1 Kt for so long, so we finally had to turn on the motor.
