Sailing south through the Puget Sound on our way back from the San Juans, the Seattle skyline seemingly emerges from out of nowhere. It's a welcomed sight, but seems like it's always at the end of a long day, wind right on our nose with the current opposing us so we are motoring and making little headway. Maybe it's just the thought of the warm pub awaiting us on Bainbridge Island (where we keep the boat near Seattle) that makes it seem an even slower slog home on that last leg of the trip.
