Hello friends and family -believe it or not we are still floating! We've had a great time and have now made it to civilization in Tofino (southern end of the west coast). We have made it just about all the way around the island now and have seen some beautiful and wild places and will put some photos up here soon.
We spent Rich's b-day (3-days actually) in Hot Springs Cove which was incredible. Each night we stayed for high tide (waves wash into the natural rock hot springs and cool it down) at 10pm, then 11pm and then midnight last night and the sky has been clear so the stars were amazing. The trail back through the woods and then kayaking back to the boat with glowing bioluminescent streaks in the water as we paddled were unforgettable. For Rich's b-day we had a few people over to the boat for snacks and cupcakes. We had a great celebration and he enjoyed all the gifts that people sent him that I brought with us -thanks! More soon...
