The Baja Bash

Summer 2018
As many of you who have followed our blog over the last four years you’ll note that I have not given it any attention since last spring. So let me fill in the blanks.
Road Trip

On Saturday 1-17-15 we took a road trip up to the town of San Sebastian in Jalisco. Our friends on S/V No Ties had rented a car and invited us along. It took us about 2 hours to drive up to the old colonial town. The town is at 5,000 feet altitude.
When we arrived we walked around and saw the old church. They were celebrating first communion for some children. Later, we saw a group of people walking around the square being followed by a band. We asked what they were celebrating and were told it was the older couple's 50th wedding anniversary.
We had lunch in a small cafe. We saw an old hotel that had small rooms off a central court yard. The place must have been 150 years old. The rooms were small, about 15 feet square, with a single bed and night stand. There was a toilet separated by wall, very simple.
