The Baja Bash

Preparing for the Baja Bash (the trip north from Mexico to California). They call it “The Bash” because the prevailing winds and waves are from the northwest. So you are basically going uphill (if that makes any sense).

Winding Down in Dewey

Pat
Today is Wednesday September 2, 2015. Where did the summer go?

We got back to Arizona after a world wind trip to the San Francisco Bay Area. We got to spend time with family and friends, but didn't have enough time to see everyone. Please don't feel offended if we didn't get to see you during our short trip.

We did get to attend the 19th Annual Snakes to the Lake cobra rally. The photo is our stopover for lunch in Rancho Cordova CA (ours is the silver one). 6-7 food trucks assemble there and offer a variety of tasty options for lunch. We continued on to South Lake Tahoe and had a great time seeing friend's we'd not seen in about a year since we left the Bay Area in 2014.

The car ran great and we returned safe and sound on Sunday 8/23.

We did some shopping for the boat and picked up our newly certified life raft from Sal's Inflatables in Alameda CA.

Back in AZ I'm continuing with my physical therapy on my hand. Just to clarify, the incident in Mexico where I cut myself with the utility knife requiring five stitches and my Dupytren surgery are not related events.

We'll be packing the car to the brim when we leave in 1-2 weeks. Just as soon as the Ortho Doctor clears me.

That's all for now.
