December 31, 1969,, Antigua
Anne had the idea of writing some articles for the blog, part of a category called "Kid's island". Below is the first postimg, unedited, hoping it is the first of many more to come. Enjoy!
Hi! I'm Anne and my birthday is May 9th. My favourite colours are all bright colours. When I heard about the trip I was sad and happy at the same time. I miss my dog Tiffany and the whole entire family. Ever since I came on the boat I've loved the adventures, seeing turtles and other animals.
What we do
Everyday except Sunday and Saturday we do school in the morning. In the afternoon we go swimming or go to town.
When we have friends where we go, that means we spend time with them. Sometimes if we're interested we go on tours.
Home schooling
In the morning when we do school the most important subjects in school are, math and english. In our spare time we do other subjects if we want to, like art, music, science and drama. My favourite subject is art.

December 31, 1969,, Somewhere in the Atlantic
All things happen to those who wait.
After yesterday's dramas, the fishing lines went in again on this gloomy
and windy morning. With the boat going at 9 knots, I was secretly hoping we
would catch something small enough that we could bring it on deck. Someone
must have heard me, as we hooked this 1m30 mahi-mahi, as tall as Anne!
Bringing it in was a team effort: Terry reeling it in, myself hooking it
with the gaffe and Marc pouring alcohol down its gills (more human than
knocking it over the head, we think). Then the cutting, cleaning,
filleting, preparing...we have enough fish to eat for 3 or 4 days. The
kids completely forgot about the sausages planned for tonight's dinner and
feasted on sashimi instead. Already I have requests for "poisson cru",
marinated fish, fish & chips and sushi! Who said cruising makes you lose
weight?
