The Trip
During the trip, I have been sick a lot when we have been sailing. Most of the time I like to swim in clear water. The first place I went on the boat was La Rochelle. La Rochelle was very interesting and it had lots of ice-cream mm! In La Rochelle, my cousin, uncles and grandparents came to visit us from Paris. Speaking French was kind of easy.
The next stop was Portugal for boat repairs. We stayed there for a whole week, and went to town once. When we went to town, we got lost but succeeded to get back to the boat. You don't want to know how hard it is to speak Portuguese.
After Portugal, we sailed to Madeira to get snorkelling gear. In Madeira we hired a car and went to a volcano centre and an island you can only go to by boat.
Next, we went to Selvagem island where we met 2 Norwegian boats. Both the Norwegian boats had children on it, one of them had 2 boys and the other one had a girl. Their names were Heinrik, Gerhard and Lise. The bad thing was that they both had to leave on that day. Anyway, the next day Marc, me and mum went on a tour of the island. Did you know that they had to kill all the rabbits on the island because, they were eating all the bird's eggs and grass?
Graziosa was the next stop. There was a nice beach with little sand cliffs. This island was where we met a French boat called Guma with 2 children called, Chloe and Hugo. One day, we had a picnic on the beach with Guma. At the picnic it was very nice, Marc and me played with the kids. At sunset, we all tried to find geckos then had a snorkel near the beach. The day after the whole family climbed the volcano, I might have tripped a lot. Once we got to the top it was really windy and I was almost blown away.
It was almost time for the ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruising) so we needed to get to Las Palmas. During all the parties we all met a lot of friends who are in the ARC. A week before the rally, all the kids in the ARC went to the kids club for ages 4-16. It was almost time to leave so they moved us to the catamaran section. When it was time to leave Las Palmas and head of to St. Lucia we got a picture, with everyone cheering at all the boats.
Well, that's all I'm gonna write for the 1st part of the trip, I'll write later friends.

February 16, 2012,, Antigua
Anne had the idea of writing some articles for the blog in a category called "Kids island". Below is her first posting, unedited, hopefully the first of many more to come. Hope you enjoy!
Hi! I'm Anne and my birthday is May 9th. My favourite colours are all bright colours. When I heard about the trip I was sad and happy at the same time. I miss my dog Tiffany and the whole entire family. Ever since I came on the boat I've loved the adventures, seeing turtles and other animals.
What we do
Everyday except Sunday and Saturday we do school in the morning. In the afternoon we go swimming or go to town.
When we have friends where we go that means we spend time with them. Sometimes if were interested we go on tours.
Home schooling
In the morning when we do school the most important subjects in school are, math and english. In our spare time we do other subjects if we want to, like art, music, science and drama. My favourite subject is art.
