Following our night at anchor at Kerri Beach, our next plan was to go to Wreck Bay and visit the Blue Caves on the north coast of Nisos Zakinthos. 

At 06:30 I hauled up Quack Quack to find she was covered below the water line in pitch and diesel. This just gets better and better. Marks boat was also tainted with the effluent. Imagine how the turtles cop all this. Hours of cleaning the Duckie of oil and grease still has not returned it to its original condition.

Anyway, we trucked along the west coast of Nisos Zakinthos, and it was absolutely stunning. High cliffs with caves and amazing geological formations. 

At 11:15 we reached Wreck Bay. This is an indentation on the coast with a pristine beach with an old coaster wrecked on the sand at the head of the bay. The water is an amazing turquoise colour that makes every boat look like they have blue LED's under the water line. However, this was again tempered by the volume of people and tripper boats in the bay. Hundreds of people on this small beach looking at a grafitied ship wreck. I guess it is just the time of year.....a lot of people pressure and some would argue we are part of it....true true.
