Finally, a sound nights sleep for everyone on board. The weather is still hot-hot-hot but tiredness won out and we all got at least 10 hours last night.
Last night we found a really fantastic little cafe/restaurant called 'Freds' about 5 mins from the mooring which did some fantastic barracuda and an even better rack of lamb.
Last night saw the dinghy start to sink..luckily Dave saw it and lassoed the engine to save us all a long swim. Dave then went to sleep - on top of his glasses, which are now a bit bent out of shape...
Today see's a long list of boat jobs that need to be done, bilges need to be pumped after the overflow...well....overflowed whilst we were hammering along windward on the journey over. Diesel and seawater doesn't result in the freshest smelling cabin, especially after 4 hairy arsed blokes have all been snoring in there in 30 degree heat so cleaning is the order of the afternoon. After we finish the beers.
Injuries are healing now, although Stu is still moaning about his cut finger. Simon managed to slice a bit of his big toe off in St Lucia and we have all caught a bit of sun. But everyone is now well rested and in good spirits.
Specific message for Debbie (Bills Daughter) - "The water is beautiful, lovely and warm, but there is no fish to look at, its all sand! All my love, Dad"
Specific message for Debbie (Bills Daughter) from the crew - "Your Dad needs some new underwear!"
