Countdown begins

08 August 2011 | League City, TX
Welcome to our blog. We decided to set one up for this adventure because friends and family want to know what's going on AND everyone seems to want to see lots of pictures and less words! So, we will try not to yammer on too much but rather put lots of pictures up.

It's official....we have a "jello" plan (that's what we call our roughly hewn plan that somehow changes a lot). Our plan is to leave our slip at Waterford Marina around the end of hurricane season. How do you like it so far?

Don has a burning desire to sail to Brownsville, TX so that we will have accomplished that lofty goal of sailing from the northernmost point on the
eastern seaboard in Maine to the southernmost point of the eastern US in Texas. That is Step One.

Step Two is to head east with the destination being the eastern Caribbean Islands. The route we take is currently being discussed at the highest levels of the organization. Stay tuned...you will be able to see where we are (once we start moving) by coming to this blog site.

Now that I am not working much, we both can concentrate on boat prep so we
will Be working the "list"which somehow never gets shorter. So, if you can bear with us for the boring part, we WILL cast off the lines by November 1st when The Adventure Continues.
