07 October 2009 | Stuart,Fl
Bonne : 70* today but humid.... beautiful & sunny: not a cloud in the sky!
G'Morn everyone,
Another beautiful day today, just hanging out here in Stuart, Fl.
Contemplating the trip across the Okeechobee, a lot of different opinions, and worries. Will it be deep enough, can we get under the bridges etc.etc...
It will be hard to untie from here, I do have to say its one of the best marinas so far. The customer service is fabulous, and it's so beautiful, if anyone is coming this way, I highly recommend Harborage Yacht Club & Marina. Okay time to get busy, have a nice day....
Laundry & Race Day

Takin a Break...
04 October 2009 | Stuart, Florida
Bonne : bright, partly sunny.. Rain is possible
We decided to take a break & take refuge here in Stuart, Fl.. the Harborage Yacht Club & Marina is very nice.. except our dock is really close to the inlet, so when boats go by we feel their wake... really good I must add. Yesterday Mark & I rode our bikes about 6 miles round trip, just to get an ice cream cone... What where we thinking??? lol we are both sore as hell after, but it was sooooo good! Last night we enjoyed some grilled steaks & fried potatoes.. YUMMY!!! Went up to Wahoos afterwards for a few drinks... the band was...well OK! a little to hard rock & roll for a night club at the marina, my opinion anyway. Oh yeah Mark hooked a big ass snook, but it broke his line, now he's on the hunt for the big ass snook with a orange bobber hanging out its mouth!
Another Beautiful Sunrise
30 September 2009 | Vero Beach
Bonne : overcast & yucky about 70F
Another beautiful sunset.. Stopped at Vero Beach City Marina for the night, The only thing good about this place was they had block ice & the riverside restraunt about 1/2 a mile away. Anyway we are headed to Ft. Pierce were we will spend a nice afternoon, checking out Treasure Coast.. Maybe Stay there for a couple of days to gt ready for the long haul across the Okeechobee waterway.
Flipper Came out to Play...

Bonne : beautiful & sunny: a little cloudy, the cottonball type..
Hey everyone, Just wanted to Share this exciting event.. We were just sailing along today with great winds, & all of a sudden Mark said look a dolphin, get the camera, I was a little hesitant as all we have gotten so far was fins, but I'm so glad I did, This Dolphin played beside our boat for at least 10 minutes, I almost think he knew we were taken his picture. I could believe this shot... I love it I hope you do too!
Next stop.... Vero Beach,F
29 September 2009 | Melbourne
Bonne : beautiful & sunny: a little cloudy, the cottonball type..
Stayed at this little Marina last night on the out skirts of Melbourne, walked to Walgreens & Subway to get Mark some Pepsi & us some dinner the plan today is to head for Vero Beach, we may even make FT Pierce.
Magge is doing well now she is over her doggy PMS, Yeap! She's in heat, I guess better here where the aren't any other doggies around. LOL
Don't want any little Magges just yet. Wow we have great wind & good tide, we are cruising along at about 5 knots. woohoo! Here is our little scurvy sailor Dog.
What a day
28 September 2009 | Mosquito Lagoon & Titusville
Bonne : beautiful & sunny: not a cloud in the sky!
Today started out pretty good, until we ran a ground at Mosquito Lagoon, yeap...
the channel is so narrow here, if you take your site off for one second, thats it. I mean there are places right outside the channel thats only 1&2 feet deep. anyway we got off thanx to Julie & her beauitful new power boat.. she pulled us off. Thats another story.. she gladly did it, but come to find out she was new at being a Capt. & had never rescued anyone before. So Kudos to Julie. Now we are back on our way, when Mark saw a momma dolpin & her baby, he got a couple of pix, I thought this one was pretty good! Its really a challenge to get a good one you barely know they are there until you hear their blow hole! anyway, enjoy!!!
On the water again!
27 September 2009 | New Smyrna Beach,Florida
Bonne : beautiful & sunny: not a cloud in the sky!
Its 8AM on Sunday, what a beautiful day to sail, after showers & breakfast we'll be

Last night was fun we rode our bike across the bridge to beachside & watch a great lady sing. Sybil Gage, There was a Jazz Festival going on & man can this lady perform, if you ever get a chance to see her I highly recommend it. Todau we will head for Titusville then Merritt Island , maybe we will see the space shuttle. Well time to get going. until next post. CYA
Sailed (cruised) all night
25 September 2009 | St.Augustine Florida to New Smyrna Beach
Bonne : night stars are out & beautiful
Left St. Augustine about 10 am, down the ICW we go toward Daytona Beach,
Good straight narrow with lots of beautiful docks & houses, I'm sure some of these houses are in the millions.......... After sailing for hours we decided to sail into the night. What a beautiful night to sail, so many stars & the moon so bright, rested at a place call Adventure Island & boy what an adventure!!!! 29 channel markers 300 Ft, pitch black, only 8 ft of water, but with a great Captain at the helm & tied up & the grace of God we made it to a dock, tied up & slept (well lets just say we rested for a couple of hours... we pulled out at 6 AM trying to navigate back to the channel in the dawn before sunrise ended up pretty nice, the sunrise was beautiful. Pulled into New Smyrna Beach at 8:30 ish AM. Docked in New Smyrna - see a tiki hut across the channel. I wanted to wait till 9 or 10 till the band got rolling. We walked over early at 8 only to find the band stopped, and the place closed at 9PM. lol Welcome to FL.
Arrived in St. Augustine, Florida
23 September 2009 | St.Augustine Florida
Bonne : sun getting ready to set clear and beautiful.
Arrived at Camachee Cove Marina about 6:30 PM just in time for the sunset, walked around the marina & looked at all the sailboats, always in search for that pirate boat. Saw one was really cool looking but only 30 Ft, the cool thing was it was named Shamrock. which happens to be my b'day symbol ( born on St. Pats Day) Anyway, Went to town( marina courtesy car) had beer & wings At A1A Pub
Back on the water bright a]nd early this morning.
