At Treasure we went to the Saturday market and one stall had these conch shell planters for sale. Interesting but a little tacky. Unfortunately you see conch shells piled along the shore in many spots and their numbers are dwindling. But their is really no enforcement of regulations when it comes to [...]
Treasure Cay has a number of canals built with homes and docks along side. We motored up a couple of these and then rowed back just to check out the neighbours.
One fine beach walk we hit it at low tide and could walk out quite aways looking for sand dollars and sunrise tellin sea shells. Lots of sand dollars were found including any buttonsize ones. Not sure if that is a good sign for the sand dollars.
One of our favourite beaches is this 5 mile long crescent of white sand and unbelievably beautiful turquoise water. We stayed at anchor here for 6 days not far from the resort which has a bar and pool. The bar was very popular place to watch the Super Bowl, and was where we were introduced to the Tipsy special. Unfortunately we saw but did not hear the commercials due to the loud and raucous fans. it was amazing to see the American hype.
