Riding out the storm
29 October 2017 | Fishing bay, Deltaville Virginia
Pete/ windy & raining
Today has been an interesting day for us. We are at anchor in Fishing Bay, Deltaville Virginia. The storm that we have been waiting for has finally arrived Winds and rain coming from all directions! Tonight Winds are forecast to be in the 25-35 knt range- should be an interesting night!
Today was a good day to complete some boat chores, so today I changed the fuel filter for the diesel engine.
Captain Muttley has been wistfully looking at the shore hoping that we would take the dinghy and go ashore, that was not to be in this type of weather so reluctantly he realized he had to take care of business on the boat - Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks!
After a nice ham steak dinner we retreated to the cockpit for a relaxing glass of wine and some reading captain Muttley assumed his favorite position (see picture)!
Tomorrow promises to be a little windy but at least the sun will shine, so we will see what The weather brings Us tomorrow...
