Santa Barbara Island to Two Harbors, Catalina

Finally!! Lifted anchor and set off for Santa Barbara island to kick off our cruising adventure this year. Barely any wind, so we motor sailed the whole way, getting into SB island around 4pm. Super rolly and not the best night sleep (I was quite seasick as per usual first few days of being back on the water) however we were the only ones on anchor (shocking that no one else wants to venture out with no wind and 50 degree weather!?)
Woke up the following morning, sucked down coffee and set off for Catalina and hopefully calmer anchorage. Sailed about 75% of the way with about 10 kt winds and chugging along as a rapid speed of 3.5 kts.....needless to say we turned on the motor for last hour of our trip to get into Two Harbors before sunset. Beautiful anchorage and super quiet again (I can see how this place could fit up to 200 boats in the summer!) Had a great night with two anchors and flopper stopper out (for non-sailors we basically anchored down as best we could to keep the boat as stable and comfortable as possible.)
We expect to be here for a few nights, getting projects done and relaxing finally off and out of the marina (Jay is constructing shelving from starboard to convert out aft head into storage area. I am still working on troubleshooting issue with Predict Wind app and MEX watercraft insurance as well as reorganizing our storage areas...)
Heading into town shortly to explore and take a break from projects....
