Install Main Sail. No battins. Install Main Sail Cover. Replace worn 3/8" pin fom Boom gooseneck, with Stainless Steel 3/8" bolt. Too windy to install Main Sail battens and Head Sail. Will install Saturday, when wind dies down.
I.B.S. picked up Callisto at 10:05. Had her in the water by 11:25. No leaks. Shaft seal drip 2 per second. Normal for dry shaft seal.
Had trouble getting engine to idle and run under load. Engine stalled at last dock. Tried to get spring line out. Missed the cleat twice. I did not give myself enough line. Restarted the engine. Manuvered to Pump Out Dock. Wind was setting me into a bad situation. I nosed up to the dock. I swung the stern in a bit. As things were going. This plan would have gotten me along side the dock at the stern. Her bow would have been past the dock with not control.
I put Jack Klang'smethod into action. Not quite by the book. But close enough to work. I caught a cleat. Hauled in the spring line. Callisto nestled upto the dock nicely. Her bow still a good 3' from the end of the pier.
I brought the Head Sail (150 Gennoa) aboard. Along with a few other items.
I looked into the lackof power problem. I discovered the choke cable slipping. I set the position the the best performance. No hesitation under load.
Departed the marina. Caught the mooring on the first approach.
