Sailing with Celestial's Tripp

We are a Tripp 47 racing boat turned cruiser that we bought in Maine in 2009. We sailed it through the Panama Canal and up to Seattle then back to Mexico and over to Hawaii in 2012.

Our first Weather stop

10 October 2010 | Tillamook Bay, OR
Donna
We left on schedule Sat., Oct. 2 after our Bon Voyage Party Friday night. Thanks to everyone who came! We sailed/motored 32 miles to Port Ludlow then our friends Ann and Dick came and drove us down to Hoodsport. It was still 36 hours to get there by water so we were glad Ann and Dick picked us up instead. Sunday we took them on a mini motor around Port Ludlow and Monday we headed to Port Angeles. From there we sailed 252 miles to Tillamook Bay, reaching it by 11pm Wed. night. We had hoped to make it to Newport before the weather change was predicted at midnight but didn't make it. Here's a picture of how far down we had to climb to get onto Celestial. Next to the old cannery was the deepest spot we could tie up the boat. We are having a beautiful Sunday and hope to cross the bar tomorrow.
