The winds continued on the nose all day as we made our way to Melbourne. We first attempted to anchor in the little Eau Gallie harbor area. As we felt our way along the narrow channel into the harbor, the engine quit. What timing. The wind was pushing us out of the channel into a 3ft shoal area. However, with a quick change to the other fuel tank we were on our way once more. We had plenty of fuel so apparently it's time to replace the fuel filter again. Thank goodness for whoever designed this dual tank, dual filter system.
The little harbor was too cramped and shallow for us so we continued down to the Melbourne Causeway Bridge. These causeways offer pretty good shelter as long as the wind stays in the same direction for the night.
The evening brought Nikki out for a little patrol around the deck. She does exist!
