Murphy, the Irish Terrier, wishes everyone a Happy St Pat's on his favorite day of the year (next to Christmas). This afternoon the crew is headed over to Duffy's for Shepherd's Pie and Irish Brew. Unfortunately, Capt. Murphy will be stuck guarding the ship. (View Post...)

It's been a quiet week doing a little of this and a little of that. Monday was plucking day for Murphy. People at the marina wondered what we did with our last dog and where we had found this new racy model. Wish a little plucking were all we needed to be lean machines! (Continued...)

The weather is pretty nice now, still a little cool, but sunny and the winds have laid a bit. On Saturday, Dave and Joanne from Tropical Breeze, convinced us that we needed to ride the marina bikes to the main shopping area. It's along the heavily traveled Route 1 and I hate to say it but I've not ridden a bike in 25 years, so I was more than dubious about this adventure. How'd those 25 years get by?!?! However, afraid to miss any good shopping, I threw caution to the wind and joined the ride. It wasn't pretty. The physical exertion part was easy.....it's completely flat here. My balance on a bike was not. They say you never forget. Ha. We did about a 5 mile ride and on the way back, I fell off the bike, caught my pedal on a high curbing and almost crashed, and hit a guard wall along a bridge and left a blue streak from my jeans. There was no real damage, except to my pride (and there's little of that anymore). Dave was riding behind me and was kind enough not to laugh too hard. Jim, left me in the dust as usual and expressed surprise when he heard about all of my crash and near-crashes.....yeah right. It was an adventure.....and I blame the free marina bike.....it had a wobbly rear wheel and loose steering ;-) (Continued...)
