Jobos Hurricane Hole

Capt Chris, sunny and hot
Here is an overhead shot of where I and a few others will duck into during a blow. What you can't see is to the south are a series of "Cayos" which are essentially barrier Islands which will serve to knock down the heavy seas. Then you can see the creeks that bend and twist deeper into the mangroves. The aim is to find a skinny creek and lash off the boat in the center of the creek with as many lines as you can fit. Hurricane veterans tell me the top half of the mast sticks out above the tops to the mangroves limiting the amount of wind on deck. Any questions or comments about hurricane preps let them fly!
