Cave at Rocky Dundas
17 May 2012 | Cambridge Cay, Exumas, Bahamas
The weather has been overcast for several days. We were hoping it would brighten up cuz the colors are so much better when you’re snorkeling. Oh well. While we were at Cambridge Cay we did several nice snorkeling trips. Yesterday (Wed 5-16-12) we took the dinghy to The Rocky Dundas – that’s the name of the cays. There is a really cool cave similar to Thunderball. However, this one is HUGE and has fossils and stalagmites. Today we snorkeled an area they call the Sea Aquarium. WOW-lots of fish and nice coral. I wish the pics were better but we are still learning the camera and the lack of bright sunshine affects the pictures a lot. It still looks FABULOUS in person tho!! Near our boat is a sunken Cessna thought to be a drug related plane. We checked it out rather quickly due to the swift current.
We had our first mosquito attack-ugh. I guess the Bahamas have one downfall. Plus, the mosquitos probably love the cloudy, drizzly weather too. It hasn’t been windy either so all of the above made for a lousy night’s sleep!
