Eeek!! Pirates!!!!

30 January 2012 | Wallilabou, St. Vincent
Lisa-gorgeous
We left Bequia and sailed to Wallilabou anchorage on St. Vincent. This bay was used extensively for filming Pirates of the Caribbean. The movie folks built a dock and parts of the town of Port Royal here. There is a bit of the props and the set that have been left behind. The folks here are trying to keep these items in good repair and have posted all sorts of info about the filming and the movie. When I visited here 4 years ago there was not as much stuff so it was fun to see it! The folks here really want to attract yachities so if you have something to show you gotta show it! The boat boys were a bit of a nuisance but we are used to that. The bay is very deep so you have to drop your anchor and back in and then tie to something non-mobile. We were tied to one of the pieces of the abandoned set! Kewl!!
