The battery was down to about 12.1 V this morning, a good level to check the generator. Bud started it, the voltage seemed good, neither too high nor too low. He switched on the inverter/charger. It came on, stayed on, started charging the battery and passed through AC current to the circuits connected to it. All seemed fine. We let it run for about 15 minutes. No problems and it seemed to be charging the batteries faster than it has for a while. This afternoon we checked our added piece of insulation and it hadn’t moved at all. So we closed the cover up and put both screws in it.
I did four loads of wash today. Bud vacuumed while we had power and I cleaned the floors. We walked a mile-and-a-half to the bank and a Publix store. Now we have cash, food and clean clothes and we’re ready to go. A diver is coming tomorrow to clean the bottom of the boat, which shouldn’t take much considering the very expensive bottom paint on it (Copper Coat) and check our zincs. The zincs have been on since August. Depending on when that gets done we’ll head back to the mooring field for a couple of days and then perhaps on to Marathon.
