Taking a Break

We are spending two days at this marina, for a number of reasons.
1. We need a break. And I think Bud wants to make sure I’m having some fun in all of this.
2. We still have several jobs to do on the boat. Today we changed the oil in the generator. Then I did laundry and Bud went grocery shopping. We still have to figure a better way to secure our dinghy in the davits; it was rocking wildly in our little episode in the Destin inlet. We also have to strap my inflatable kayak down somewhere; it was just sitting on the aft deck, but never moved.
3. This is a very pretty little town. It has just a small downtown area, all in walking distance from the marina. The waterfront is all public land and has a walking path along it.
4. The marina is nice and is reasonably priced.
5. We are in no rush as we have only a couple of short hops to make before we get to the jumping off place to make the 21 to 26 hour trip to Clearwater and there is no weather window in the next several days. And we aren’t about to make that trip without a good weather window. I’ve had enough excitement for a while.
So don’t worry about us and check the new album; I’ll be adding pictures.
