Quick trip March 2016

Sunny & Warm
We made a quick trip to San Carlos to join our friends in the opening of their new brewpub Ballena Blanca Brewing Company. We drove down from Tuscon with Kari.

Took 2.5 weeks to spend on the boat. Kari Olson joined us for a few days then the Wheeler's came the day after Christmas and spent a week.

Took time to work on the boat. Stayed on the dock except one night.

Enjoyed spending time with Billie & Roger for New Year's Eve party.

Mexico - October 2013 with Mom & Dad

I'm a little behind posting our last trip to Mexico. We flew down to Loreto with Kelly's parents. Spent a few days traveling by car to see some of the area. Drove to Mulege and then to San Jarvier Mission north of Loreto.

Once we were on our way we stopped in Honeymoon Cove enjoyed time on the small private beach and snorkeling. Then we went to Isla Coronado. Hearing about some weather coming we went ahead and moved north to San Juanico. We were hit by tropical storm Octave. Winds were only 25-30 knots but we had about 5-7 inches of rain in 12 hours. Kelly and I didn't mind it but Kelly's mom wasn't too thrilled. She was a trooper and handled it well. Kelly, Dad and I went for a hike in the pouring rain. It was actually nice. The temperature was warm and the rain felt amazing. We ran into some friends on the beach that we met a few years earlier along with another couple.

After the storm we sailed back south and celebrated my 50th birthday at Isla Coronados. Had a great day as Kelly treated me as a Queen for the Day. I didn't cook or clean all day and Kelly even made me some yummy brownies. It was wonderful.

After 2 weeks we dropped Kelly's parents off at the airport. It was so nice having them with us. Hopefully they will do it again. I love them so much!!

Next we headed south to Puerto Escondido to visit with some friends and for another birthday celebration. After that we headed north again and spent some quality time together. We, of course, went back to San Juanico where we snorkeled and dove. I speared my first fish which was a small snapper. I thought it was bigger than it was but that's true for a lot of things. We played Bocci Ball on the beach with Shona, Jim, Randy and Suzie. What great people.

We said goodbye and headed North to Isla San Marcos. We made a few stops where we walked on beaches, collected cool shells and just held hands. Kelly is so amazing!! Love him!

Our last stop was Santa Rosalia where we spent one night before heading back to San Carlos to put Escape back to bed.

Looking for our next adventure after spending 3 months in Mexico in 2013. Unfortunately it won't be until next summer. But looking forward to officially adding Lindi to the family on May 31st.

See you then!

July 2013

We spent a relaxing month on the Sea in July. We started off in San Carlos launching the boat and getting provisions. After a day we sailed across to Concepcion Bay and to the annual 4th of July party at Geary's on El Burro Cove. The next month was spent sailing south and spending time in San Juanico, La Ramada and Isla Coronados just off Loreto. Many new friends were made and a lot of sleep was caught up on. Oh and Kelly caught this delicious Dorado which we shared with a few new friends.

Being back in Boise for the past week has been a little depressing. I'm still thinking about Mexico and Escape. I am waiting patiently until our next adventure which is hopefully in June/July.
