Baseball and Beach Party

Hello from sunny Turtle Bay. Yesterday we took the water taxi into town and watched the Baha Ha Ha baseball game. The local kids and boaters got to play ball while the rest of us cheered them on (trying not to spill our beer). Later we walked the dusty streets to a shack by the water and had fish tacos. Today I went diving under a friends boat trying to find a piece of their BBQ that they dropped. After 30 minutes of wandering around in the mud with visibility of 2 feet, I gave up. The water temp is in the low 70's so it is refreshing when the sun is beating down. The heat feels even better since we've heard there's record rainfall in the Pacific Northwest. This afternoon we went to a beach party with 300 other Baha Ha Ha cruisers. Deb's potluck pasta dish went very fast as did most of the other food. Tomorrow we're off on leg 2 of our adventure. The weather is supposed to be better for sailing so we should have a lot of fun with Lani and Phil giving us a crash course in sail trim, (maybe I shouldn't say "crash"). Anyway, the next update will be in a couple days at Mag Bay.
