Sail to Winter Storage
Cold - 35 degrees 20-30knots
10/30/2009

It was a cold night before we left Green Point Marina to head North to our winter storage location at Delaware City Marina and the cozy cradle that Jubilee has lived in for 22 years. While we played rummy after dinner w/ Geri, Sue & I, the temps got down into the low 30s. I was glad to snuggle up w/ Pixie underneath our down filled comforter.

Enjoying each other.

I was reminded by Rev Russ that "sailing with GOD" was a nice title, but he added that we are all missionaries of the LORD and should remember this as we all committ to our walk through life.
Sailing with GOD
Clear, Sunny, high 60s
10/24/2009

It was with great pleasure that I handed the helm to our minister. Reverands Russell and Lois Lehman joined us for a short roundabout on the Chesapeake to discover they truly missed sailing and the relaxing state it places one in. We found no other boats on this beautiful Autumn day to test our skills, but just being on-the-water was enough of a thrill. Many happy returns will be remembered during the colder winter months.

Changing of the Cards
Sue
10/23/2009

We received our new boat cards today and they are beautiful. Don designed both of them and we have all of our contact info on the back in b&w. The first card was taken at Delaware City Marina. Just two days after Jubilee arrived on November 25, 2008 from Rochester, NY; Don installed the bow pulpit which was removed for transit and had already planned the card design. The sunset came from Nantucket Island (from Bert Willett) and the seagulls from Cape May, NJ.

Anne Pounds captured the image on the front of the new card while we were sailing on the first day of the Wilmington Power Squadron Summer Cruise. It is our favorite of all of the images taken this year. Again, all the contact info is in b&w on the back of the card.

Pixie's Examination
10/13/2009

We are celebrating a perfect physical review of Pixel R. Engler our Cockapoo of nine years. Dr Courtney Manetti called today to say all is fine with the Pixer and she should enjoy lots more quality time with us. We are so pleased to hear this since we thought she was gaining weight. In preparation we gave Pixie a bath and a quick trim so all of her fine male suitors would take notice at the Drs' office. She smells so good!

Sale of 35 MkIII
Don
10/13/2009, Green Point

On-the-way from dropping friends Bill Derry and Joan Meadows to bring their boat North for winter storage; we stopped at our marina which is close by to do some cleaning up and routine maintenance to our C&C 35 mkIII that we have for sale.

We are also celebrating a perfect physical review of Pixel R. Engler our Cockapoo of nine years. Dr Courtney called today to say all is fine with the Pixer and she should enjoy lots more quality time with us. We are so pleased to hear this since we thought she was gaining weight.
