Last night we came into Rose Island anchorage and saw a fellow "SSCA" member. So we decided that two dolphins were a bit much to clean and store, so we gave the 17 pounder to "S/V Tranquility" Rick and Mary were very appreciative.
This morning the conditions are a bit lighter. The winds are 5-10 knts and out of the east. The seas are non existent. We sail all the way to the north end of Highborne Cay with 'S/V Allez Cat". A PDQ catamaran, Chet and Sharon suggested to the anchorage at the north end. IT is very beautiful with a reef for some snorkeling.

We sail from Bimini to Rose Island (east of Nassau) with great conditions. The winds are 10-15 out of the east. The seas are 2-3 ft. gentle swell. We are with a boat that we were with at "Little Shark River". It is a nice ketch called "S/V Snap One". And the Canadian Navy is bringing up the rear. We are the only one not going to Nassau, so we have a bit better angle. We sail all the way, making the 46 miles in under 8 hrs. It would not have taken as long but we caught two very nice Maui Maui. Mine was 17 pounds, Diane's was a bull, and weighed in at 37 pounds. It took her 20 minutes to get him to the boat, ( thanks Doug for the gaff)!!!!!!!!

We get an early start for Chubb Cay. We have some northing to do, unfortunately the winds are NE at 10-15 so it is a bit of a beat until we turn for the cut in the reef. After being in 10 feet of water it will be nice to be in 2000+ when we hit the tongue of the ocean. It is just 15 miles from NW Channel light to Chubb. We are on a nice close haul and make great speed, 6-7.5 knts. We ease up the east side of Chubb and anchor up at Little Cock roach Cay.
