Well all projects are complete. I have worked off and on all summer and all doctor's have been seen, so we are preparing to shove off. The plan is to head south around the first of December, but it is written in the sand at low tide, so it could be earlier or a bit later! :D

Well the trip up the ICW was not very eventful. Naturally we went aground once, (only one hull), and had battles with large power boats waking us. But other than that it was the normal trip.
We had some 70 mile days and one 80 mile day. So we made pretty good time getting home.
It was a WONDERFUL cruising season. Thanks to the foks we were sailing with and the new places we were able to explore.
Our total mileage from 12/08/06 to 05/17/07 was 2980 nautical miles. We were under way for 500 hours on 80 trips, and we spent $2500 dollars for fuel, slips, water, and oil.
At the present time we are back in Asheville listing the house with an agent and planning on our departure in December :) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The customs folks decided to let us back in the country, so we are street legal. After clearing in with Lou and Donna, we head out for Southpoint Mooring field. We have the choice of either going outside or inside and battle the ICW traffic and the multitude of bridges. So we go outside for the 35 miles. It is a gentle easterly wind and very little swell. So the infamous St. Lucie Inlet is no major problem. It has been recently dredged and remarked.
We will be here for a few days or until the weather improves, as it predicted to be 20 knts. out of the north, and spend the last time together as a group. As "Allez Cat" will go across the Okeechobee Waterway to the west coast and "Sooo Fine 2"will go to Indiantown for the summer.

What a wonderful city Stuart is!! The downtown is a delight to visit. We actually have talked of moving here. The mooring field is $255.00 per month, $150. less than we are paying in Charleston.
It is time for us to take advantage of the weather window and start heading north. The time spent with "Allez Cat" and "SoooFine 2" was unforgettable. They made the trip this year wonderful. You could not ask for four nicer, generous, people to be around. And all are excellent sailors, they will be missed greatly!
But we have to head out. We will go up the ICW as the seas are 15-17 feet outside. But the wind makes for a good motor sail north, as they are 15-20 out of the NNW. We make it all the way to EauGallie, 70 miles, in 11 hours.
