Well it has been an uneventful three days so far! We made good time on Monday until I missed the last opening of the swing bridge in Beaufort, which meant a two hour wait until the next opening. But we waited and anchored just south of the bridge. Tuesday we stopped at the Wright River at the north end of Fields Cut, just north of the Savanna River. Then today we had a stop in Savanna, and then made it down to Moon River!! It got real windy this afternoon, (15-20 knts.) which made for slow going!! But all is well and we are pressing on getting farther south every day.

02/08/2009

Well it has been a very LONG summer/ winter!! But we are finally done with all that needed to be done and will be heading out with the tide in the morning. We are headed for Ft. Lauderdale, with some ICW and outside travel. We will keep everyone posted

2009
End of the Season
07/09/2008, Bohicket Marina

Well we made it back to Bohicket Marina.
It was a wonderful cruising season with a final trip up the coast using the ICW and going outside when conditions permitted.
We stopped in Ft. Pierce to paint the bottom of the boat at Riverside Marina, which was a very good DYI yard. Then with green hair and all, (from sanding the bottom), we stopped in Melbourne to visit our new friends at the Melbourne Yacht Club, and to paint a friends house. Then one last extended stop at Daytona and had a great visit with our friends Judy and Steve, from Bellaire, FL.
Then we continued north up the ICW until St. Augustine, where we went outside to Jacksonville/May port. And got hammered by a line of thunder storms with 50 knts of wind, lightning, and ten ft. seas. Definitely got our attention!!!!!!!!!!!
Then the usual stops at Ft. George, GA, Brunswick, GA., outside to Walburg Creek, GA., Cooper River, (Dafauskie Island), then got a survey done in Hilton Head and finally home to Bohicket!!
The stats for the season were:
207 days gone
87 trips
2693 miles logged
