Walt/Sunny
Left L.A. with tears in our eyes (the smog, not regret!) yesterday and made the 130 miles to the Palm Springs area. Oh we enjoyed the visit with the grandchillen (see pic), but L.A. is not the center of my affection. The Thanksgiving traffic going BACK into L.A. was horrific. I would guess more than 40 miles of stop and go traffic with no end in sight when we pulled off I-10 just outside Palm Springs, actually in Cathedral City.

We’re in a nice quiet campground and plan to do nothing for 4 days before heading more East. Sunny (no smog) weather awaits us again today and we are pleased with that. Probably just a lot of exploring and nothing today. Nancie asked me what was I going to do today? My reply was, “Nothing.” She said, “But you did that yesterday.” I said, “Yes, I know, but I didn’t get finished!!!” Life among the retarded (retired) is so rough.
