Now The Real Work Begins!

31 July 2012 | Cap Sante Marina, Anacortes
Walt/Partly sunny
One more photo of us entering Victoria Bay......Mon & Tue were spent meeting friends and running errands including swapping out gear at the garage. More to be done there though. I was glad to hear the truck come to life after sitting unused for 2 months. We haven’t yet figured out what to do for the long haul other than the Volvo was sold and we listed the Mazda of Nancie’s. The boat broker for the Jeanneau said that interest was being shown there so maybe we will have some good news there also.
As we were coming into the Anacortes marina on Sun evening we spotted old marina neighbors, Walt & Nancy from Richmond, Wa. Since I had shared my crabbing success with him last year he reciprocated and presented us with 6 live Dungeness crab which made for 2 fine meals. Mmmmmm good!!! We will certainly miss the Dungeness on our journey, but the Fla lobster will be a welcome substitute!
The plan is to head south to Seattle to get some boat work done . We plan to go the 50 miles to Everett on Wed. and then the 25 miles from Everett to Seattle on Thur AM. Praying for good weather for the transit.
