Cruising World story about Liberte

19 November 2011
This story was published in Cruising World, August 2011 issue. I wrote it a few days after we arrived back in Idaho from our first season, with a week and 1,200 words to cover about 4,000 nautical miles and many fine adventures. Rebecca was excited to see her curried carrot plate make the layout, and I was pleased that the crew were pictured - Chris Rundlett, Scott Galbraith and Bill Bell (shown in a heroic pose at the oars in Kwatsi Bay, B.C.). It was pretty sweet to relive the ports and passages of 2009, and share it with a larger audience... and a personal thrill for me to be published in CW with some heavy hitters including Capt. Fatty Goodlander, whose writing I've greatly enjoyed and admired.
