Buddy boatin' again

03 March 2012
We are happy to be making another passage with Risk Taker, our friends on a Catalina 38 out of San Francisco. During this smooth 46-hour transit of the Gulf of Tehuantepec, we sailed in several stints, including a night sail on a gorgeous broad reach that lasted 3 watches, a sunset sail, and a morning session in the offshore wind and flat water as we approached Puerto Chiapas. Enroute, we also stopped in flat water and dove over the side to swim with the dolphins. We kept two fishing lines out, and caught one large jack and two smaller bonitos. Great shooting star show in the early morning watches.
