Z-town bliss
19 February 2012
What can we say about Z-town? We fell in love. How do we count the ways? Super Bowl on the street at Ron's, a place owned by Rick; dingy concierge service; a taxi ride by mistake to a beachside table where the sunset was so big; new "friends for life" Patti, Steve, Vic and Jacki; comida economica with a huge plate of food for 40 pesos ($3.33 US); rainstorms and neighbors dragging anchor (twice); cliffside architecture; Sailfest 2012; our anniversary!, an outdoor mercado where you can buy anything fresher than fresh; lights at night; the town square with everybody out at night, and the corn on the grill, and the kids on the ballcourt, and the music playing and the warm night air. The most perfect temperature we have found anywhere in our travels of Mexico. Muy, muy lindo. Hard to sail away.
