And the countdown begins...

Well I was going to have Cye be a guest blogger and write up todays events but I guess Mark wore him out because he crashed the second we got home from dinner. The boys did chores - cleaned up some stuff, worked on some purchases, tried doing the seals on the bow-thruster, and basically made a mess of the boat. I did a couple loads of laundry, inventoried the cabinets, and headed out to Gilmour's for some provisioning. For you cruisers still looking to do some provisioning it was a good place to go. They sell a lot of things in large containers that won't work on a boat but they also sell some stuff in smaller quantities. I got a bunch of canned goods, some crackers, cookies, candy but the my big score was pasta. I got three huge bags of pasta as well as flour and sugars. For the kinda stuff you have to repackage no matter what I think it was a good find. I guess I'll have to play with the vacuum sealer tomorrow and get everything in storable quantities. I'll probably also try to make another trip to a different grocery store.
We talked at dinner and our goal is to set sail next Saturday. We hope it goes as planned but we have flexibility. Since it's Easter weekend a lot is going to be shutdown for the next four days so we will have to concentrate on the things we can do. We will also have to take our car up to Opua to sell it back and will probably do it next Friday since I will need it until then. It is going to be a busy week we have lots to do! I can't believe it's already time to set out. This last month has gone really fast.
