Wx Update, E Caribbean, Sat01, 8am 6am gridded QuickScat: N of DomRep E to VirginIslands ENE 15-20kts. S of Puerto to 15S and E to the Leewards ENE10-15kts. S of 15N to N of ABCs and E to Windwards ENE15-20kts Coastal Venezuela Margarita to ABCs ENE 10kts. IMAGERY: Only small area of Squall S of DomRep and some showers near Trinidad are indicated in the IR Satellite imagery this morning. SYNOPSIS: Long-range models are still indicating little to no support for any Tropical Cyclone formation thru all of next week. In the E Caribbean High Pressure Ridging and Waves will continue thru the first week of Aug. A Wave with large amplitude is indicated in the satellite imagery is currently along 52W. Wave will continue to W at 25kts and will enter the E Caribbean Sat01 evening or early Sun02 morning. Wave will bring showers/squalls to the Windwards N as it passes. Winds will bump up a bit to 20kts as wave moves thru the E Caribbean Sun02-Mon03. OUTLOOK: Conditions will remain unchanged thru Sun02 when the High in Atlantic begins to move to the NE and the next wave enters the E Caribbean. Trades will continue brisk with only widely scattered diurnal showers/TSTMS expected. Pressure gradient will relax reducing the trades to 15kts Sun02 thru early next week. As mentioned above a Tropical wave near 52W will move into the E Caribbean Sun02. No Tropical Depressions or Storms expected thru next week. FCST Precip: Dry air over the region is dampening convective activity. Only slight chance for isolated showers over the region this weekend with and increase in showers Windwards N as Wave enters the E Caribbean Sun02.
