			<title><![CDATA[Wx Update E Caribbean Fri 31 Jul 2009  08am]]></title>

			<description>Wx Update, E Caribbean, Fri31, 8am 6am gridded QuickScat:  W of Leeward/Windward Islands, Puerto Rica S to 12N E 15-20kts.  Puerto Rico -DomRep S to 13N ENE20-25kts.  Coastal Venezuela ENE10-15kts N of Virgin Islands to DomRep ENE 15-20kts. IMAGERY:  Area of Showers/TSTMs Margarita moving W.  Area conviction 14N to just south of DomRep between 72W-75W  SYNOPSIS:  The main feature in the Bahamas and Caribbean continues to be the ridging produced by the Atlantic High 1026MB located this near 32N 54W.  Ridging continues SW from the High over Central FL and W near 28N across the Gulf of Mexico.  Waves continue to move thru the Caribbean.  This morning a Wave is located along 70W from the DomRep to Venezuela.  This wave is producing some squalls over the DomRep S to near the ABCs.  Wave is moving W at 19kts and will enter the W Caribbean latter today.  A second wave is currently near 42W.  This wave has a rather large amplitude and extends from 22N S to 7N is moving E at 20kts.  By Sat01 evening it will be near 56W from 25N-7N.  By late Sun02 the wave will enter the E Caribbean producing scattered showers and squalls N of the Virgin Islands S to NE Venezuela.  Wave will continue E and be near DomRep Mon03 OUTLOOK:  Conditions will remain unchanged thru Sun02 when the High in Atlantic begins to move to the NE and the next wave enters the E Caribbean.  Trades will continue brisk with only widely scattered diurnal showers/TSTMS expected.  Pressure gradient will relax reducing the trades to 15kts Sun02 thru early next week. As mentioned above a Tropical wave near 42W will move into the E Caribbean Sun02.  No Tropical Depressions or Storms expected early next week.  FCST Precip: Dry air over the region is dampening convective activity.  Only slight chance for isolated showers over the region this weekend with and increase in showers as Wave enters the E Caribbean Sun02. 			<description>Wx Update, E Caribbean, Thu30, 8am 6am gridded QuickScat:  Data N/A over E Caribbean. IMAGERY:  Area of Showers/TSTMs from E of St Vincent W to 69W and S of 16N to just N of Venezuela.   SYNOPSIS:  The Atlantic High 1026MB and its ridging continues as the main features over the Bahamas and Caribbean today.  The ridging continues S of Bermuda thru Central FL and across the Gulf of Mexico along 27N.  Ridging will begin to shift N over the weekend as the High moves a bit more to the NE.  A tropical wave will move thru the E Caribbean today.  This morning it was located along 61W from 19N S to Venezuela and moving W at 20kts.  Water vapor imagery indicates deep moisture near the wave over the Windwards and is spilling into the E Caribbean from just N of Venezuela the waters S of Puerto Rico.  Showers/Squalls are moving thru the Windwards this morning and are expected to build over Puerto Rico/DomRep this afternoon. OUTLOOK:  Conditions will remain unchanged thru Sat01 when the High in Atlantic begins to move to the NE.  Trades will continue brisk with only widely scattered diurnal showers/TSTMS expected.  Once High moves NE pressure gradient will relax reducing the trades to 15kts Sun02 thru early next week. A Tropical wave near 31W Sof 24N is moving W at 15kts.  A cyclonic swirl in low to mid-level flow is indicated in the satellite imagery.  Moisture is available but dry air in the mid to upper level is reducing the development of convection near the wave.  Wave will move into the E Caribbean this weekend.   No Tropical Depressions or Storms expected early next week.  FCST Precip: Showers/Squalls over the Central E Caribbean Sea will spread N to Puerto Rico and Dom/Rep this afternoon.  Windward and Leeward Islands only chance for isolated showers thru Sat01.  Venezuela and the ABC's isolated showers/light squalls today thru Sat01. Area of scattered cumulus blowing over the region from S of Virgin Islands to Coastal Venezuela and the ABCs.  E Caribbean is clear of any enhanced imagery in this mornings Satellite. SYNOPSIS:  A 1031MB High is near 33N 56W and ridging continues S of Bermuda to FL and crosses the Gulf of Mexico near 28N little change is expect thru Fri31 when High will begin to shift slightly to the NE.  Winds are generally E-SE 5-10kts from the N Bahamas, across FL into the Estrn Gulf of Mexico.  Dry Hazy Saharan air is over the E Caribbean today is reducing any chance for showers/TSTMS.  Tropical Waves continue to move thru the Caribbean.  A wave currently along 54W S of 18N moving W at 20kts will reach the E Caribbean this evening, wave will produce some light to Moderate Showers/Squalls as it passes thru the E Caribbean Wed29 evening thru early Thu30 morning.  Winds in the Southern Bahamas and Northern portion of the E Caribbean are still brisk with 20-25kt OUTLOOK:  Conditions will remain unchanged thru rest of week until the High in Atlantic begins to move to the NE.  Trades will continue brisk with only widely scattered diurnal showers/TSTMS expected.  A wave well to the E near 28W is moving E at 20kts will move into the E Caribbean this weekend.
