Tenacatita to Manzanillo

26 March 2008 | Playa Miramar, Manzanillo, Colima, Mexico
by Cheryl
the coal burning power plant in Manzanillo that also provides all the haze in this air - breath deep (!)

We got the boat ready the night before so we could weigh anchor early - 0830 hours and motored due to little to no wind. We saw 3 sailboats near Barra, one of which turned out to be Ray on sv Pavane making his way back north. We chatted with him on the VHF. We saw more Sea Turtles, put the sails up around 1300 hours and enjoyed a nice sail. We lost he wind about 1430 hours so we motored for the next 2.5 hours to Playa Miramar where sv Dreamweaver was and anchored at 1735 hours. We noticed sv Amalfi nearby too and they hailed us for a drink while we were getting ready for dinner but we'll catch up with them in Z-town. We had a nice dinner at Dreamweaver with Jim & Don and then Kay & Jim of sv Grace came over for a visit too.
